Announcements 

As we start a new school year, I ask each parent to be as involved in their child's education as possible.  Please check planners and assignments nightly to hold your son/daughter accountable for their responsiblity.  Homework is very important to supplement learning, practice skills, and build personal responsiblity for tasks.

There is a goal of reading 25 books over the course of the school year.  I strongly encourage students to read outside of school during their free-time (which is a must in order to reach this goal).  There is a book review (book report) due at the beginning of each month (starting in November) that should be written on a book that was read in the previous month.  The format for writing a book review can be found here.  Please encourage your child to read in order to enhance their vocabulary as well as many other reading skills.
