A 60-member Core Committee, made up of representatives from district staff, parents, senior citizens, businesspeople, and community members, will guide the strategic planning process. Their meeting agendas and minutes will be posted here.
Six task forces worked for nearly a year to develop strategic intents and key initiatives. Made up of representatives from across the community, the task forces focused on six key areas: Student Achievement, Financial Planning and Development, Character and Wellness Education, Community Relations and Partnerships, Professional Development and District Culture, and Facilities. Dr. Paul Seversky, a consultant with Advisory Solutions through the New York State School Boards Association, completed both a building capacity study and a demographic study in January 2009.
